JASMINE

JasmineJasmine Collins, age 7, is a first grade student at the C. W. Henry School. She attended the Germantown Head Start program and one of her favorite after school activities is dance at the School of Dance Arts in Germantown. She lives in Germantown with her family where she is the oldest of 3 girls.


The Earth "The Earth"
Jasmine drew a picture of herself holding up the earth, and said that this means that "Children are the strength of the future."


Ballerina "Ballerina"
Jasmine writes, "This is me in ballet class, doing a split."

ESPERANZA

Esperanza Esperanza Badeau, age 6, is in kindergarten at C. W. Henry School. Her early childhood years were spent at the Germantown Montessori School, and she currently enjoys Mrs. Williams Complete After School Program Plus (M-CAPP) and dance classes at the School of Dance Arts. She lives with her parents, sisters and grandparents in Mt. Airy.


The City "The City"
"What I love about Philadelphia is going to the city on the train and going to the zoo with my mom and dad and sister Angel and new baby sister Allegria."

ANGEL

AngelAngel Vargas, age 5, attends Kindergarten at the Thomas Mifflin School in East Falls. She is just starting to take dance classes at the School of Dance Arts in Germantown, and loves coloring and drawing. She lives in East Falls, and spends weekends with her dad in Mt. Airy.

DANIEL

DanielDaniel Badeau, age 10, is in the 5th grade at the Eagles Nest Christian School in Germantown. He is also a graduate of the Germantown Head Start program. Sports are his favorite Afterschool activities and he especially enjoys playing baseball for the Mt. Airy Bantams, and Basketball in the Chestnut Hill Father’s Club League. Daniel lives with his mother and grandparents in Mt. Airy.


Philadelphia "Philadelphia"
"Philadelphia is a fun city. We go to the zoo and the Franklin Institute and in the summer I go to camp. We go to the park and throw rocks in the river. I have lots of friends."
